Currently Executive Director Secondary for Pontefract Academies Trust, a Trust consisting of two secondary and six primary schools and having led secondary schools and been involved in school governance for many years, James is deeply passionate about all children having access to an excellent well-rounded education. With three children of his own, he is always minded to run schools to a standard to which he would be happy for his own children to attend them.
Headteacher at Christ’s College Finchley in North London, Samson is an innovative educational leader who has partnered with governors and staff in driving profound changes within the school over the past eight years. Samson’s educational philosophy is encapsulated in his description of “celebrating the diversity that is the Christ’s College family which embodies this great city at its best with people from all backgrounds, faiths, ethnicities, and cultures growing, learning and living together in a caring and respectful environment."
A headteacher in three different schools for the past seventeen years, James currently leads Manor Leas Junior Academy in Lincoln, UK. He is a member of the Education Advisory Group for Challenge Partners, a national network of 400+ schools, is the Senior Partner for the Lincolnshire Hub of schools and is also responsible for inspecting schools within international contexts in his role as a trained Ofsted inspector.
Already an experienced coach, counsellor and businesswoman, Jacqui decided to train as an iheart facilitator when her own daughter ended up in a psychiatric hospital. Realising the depth of iheart’s understanding of innate wellbeing not only helped her daughter access her own built-in resilience, but fundamentally changed everything about the way Jacqui worked with clients, which has influenced Jacqui’s current focus of supporting mums experiencing mental health challenges and their children, as well as sharing iheart in schools.
A Teach First Ambassador, mental health and wellbeing champion, and advocate for educational reform, Arron is Head of History and Learning Manager at Christ’s College Finchley in North London. Having been inspired by and seen first-hand the impact of iheart within his school, Arron is passionate about how young people can benefit from its universal teachings and combines that passion with his educational knowhow as a member of iheart’s Educational Advisory Board.
Assistant Headteacher at Bromley Beacon Academy, a Social, Emotional and Mental Health school in South London, Rani is hugely experienced, skilled and deeply passionate about supporting our troubled youth. She has successfully pioneered the iheart approach with the pupils and staff of her school, and, as a result, has been instrumental in facilitating significant positive outcomes for the pupils and the school.
Based in Helsinki, Finland, Charlotta has a deep interest in the human mind, philosophy and language (she speaks seven of them!), and combined with her background in healing, counselling, and teaching, she has dedicated herself to find ways of empowering people to tap into their innate resilience and potential. Charlotta is also leading the charge for teaching iheart programmes in the Nordics.
A qualified teacher specialising in language learning difficulties, Debbie was a founding trustee of iheart and has been involved in the organisation’s development from inception. Having delivered countless iheart programmes to young people and educators, Debbie is hugely passionate about making the programme available to any school or institution interested in developing the resilience and wellbeing of their staff and students.
A former creative director in the design and branding industry, John’s passion for communicating ideas through the visual arts prompted his involvement with a number of illustration and animation projects aimed at educating children about their innate wellbeing. John soon found himself teaching groups of young people and before long he realised exactly what all of those design presentations to company board members in his previous career had been preparing him for. “How marvellous!” he thought, without looking back.
Chair of iheart’s Board of Trustees and a quiet thought leader, Dana devotes much of her time to helping bring the charity’s educational vision to the world. Together with Terry Rubenstein, she is the co-author of the iheart Curriculum for Young People and creator of many pedagogical innovations for educating people about their innate mental health and wellbeing.
Holding an MBA and a Master’s Degree in Psychotherapy, Brian spent over 15 years in senior roles in the non-profit and corporate sectors, a background that prepared him well for the task, as iheart CEO, of driving the rapid expansion of a charity dedicated to achieving transformative change in the field of mental health education. Brian has authored or co-authored five published books, including Escaping the Illusion, a novel for teenagers about discovering the true superpower that exists within us all.
A former Assistant Headteacher, Zia taught for over 25 years in large secondary schools and held several significant leadership roles in the field of education. Bringing great experience and expertise to her role as iheart’s Teacher Training Lead, Zia is driving iheart’s delivery of programmes that focus on teacher resilience and wellbeing, a crucial area of need within the educational system.
Based in Seattle, USA, Heather provides the iheart leadership team with invaluable organisational and strategy expertise as Chief Integration Officer. She was most recently chief strategy officer for a technology company and has a deep background in customer experience, product development and programme management with corporate clients such as Amazon and Microsoft as well as in the non-profit and civic sector.
iheart’s Chief Strategy Officer, Jeremy co-founded an international recruitment business which grew into a highly successful international operation with multiple offices. Having worked with clients including Facebook, Sainsburys, Sky and many innovative start-ups, Jeremy has had significant exposure to a wide variety of sectors and is highly experienced in strategy, business development and leadership.
A licensed clinical psychologist, Stacey worked for many years in both the psychiatric and private settings. But having always felt there was something missing within the mental health field, Stacey trained extensively in the iheart approach, which catalysed her transition to working with individuals and groups in a wholly different way.
An engineer by first profession, Babs soon discovered her passion for education and subsequently spent the past twenty years educating young people through her own tuition business. When she isn’t engaged in teaching iheart programmes or driving the charity' development where she lives in Scotland, Babs can be found nipping out for a cheeky coffee or walking her naughty Tibetan Terrier.
